Description

This tour looks at the history of Dumbreck, Bellahouston and Hazelwood. It starts at Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 'newest building' - the House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park - with a backward glance to his early work at nearby Craigie Hall. We then explore three lost mansions, traces of which can still be found within and around Bellahouston park. We end up in Hazelwood Conservation Area, with a tour of the 'Electric Suburb' and Hazlewood House.
